AN Afghan asylum-seeker who claimed he did not understand the concept of consensual sex has been jailed for a brutal rape. Esmatullah Sharifi, 30, was sentenced this morning for the rape of an 18-year-old woman who he offered a lift after they met outside a nightclub.
